Why Uploads Fail
Forms, marketplaces, portals, and email systems often reject images because the file is too large. That does not mean the image is bad. It just means the file needs to be lighter for the destination.
Two Ways to Reduce Image Size
- Compress the file when the dimensions are already fine
- Resize the image when the image is much larger than the upload actually needs
Fastest Workflow
Start with Image Compressor. If the file is still too large, check whether the image dimensions are also excessive and reduce them with Image Resizer.
Common Cases
- job application portals
- profile photo uploads
- marketplace listings
- document attachments and forms
The Practical Workflow
If upload size is the problem, compress first. If that is not enough, resize next. If the source is an iPhone photo in HEIC, convert it to JPG before doing either.
